Robert Boston is an experienced litigator who defends and represents clients in a wide range of matters. His practice includes product liability, business litigation, commercial litigation, pharmaceutical litigation, trade secrets litigation, and appellate law. He has first and second chair trial experience in jury and bench trials and has argued appeals before the Appeals Court of Massachusetts and the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania.

Robert works closely with his clients to understand their goals and expectations so that they can craft a focused litigation strategy. Rob believes that a lawyer’s primary role is to be a problem solver. Not every case is the same. Being flexible and creative are essential features of his representation.

Rob has experience in mass torts and has represented clients in ANDA and Hatch-Waxman litigation. He represents clients in both state and federal courts in Massachusetts and other jurisdictions throughout New England.

Rob became an equity partner at Smith Duggan Cornell & Gollub LLP in January 2026. Before attending law school, Rob was a Russian Studies Major and he even took the LSAT in Moscow while studying abroad.

When he is not working, Rob enjoys live music, mountain biking, hiking and competing in Spartan races.
